Engineers of Jihad

It’s very true. It is reflected in our activities, in India it is irrespective of the cast or creed. In general the mentality of the engineers is of those of extremists, not in the crude sense, but when it comes to something very close to our heart, we are extremists to an extent. Things have changed over the years. Days of REC, people say were even more horrible. Students are involved in many activities which are different from the league like disputes with locals, Buses and Cinema Halls were burnt by the students and there was tremendous terror of the RE College student in and around Durgapur. Not only in this part of the country. The story was same allover the country.

Was wondering just to find out what is the reason of this kind of mindset, and could only come to the conclusion that, the way things happen around us, we don’t accept it without a proper reason and unless rational that sounds very absurd to us. I do believe that the engineers around the world, especially in the developing countries (or deprived nations) have the same mindset. Engineers also have some inclination towards religion. Most of the terrorist Organizations have their Think Tanks comprised of engineers. The demand of engineers is equal in all possible domains. So how can the terrorists stay behind?

In my search for this question related to the mindset of the Engineers and the reason why more and more terrorists group recruit Engineers I came across this paper. Download it and go through it once, and you will feel the importance of engineers in this very aspect as well.
